From Europe With Love....

My Euro Tour with my Fashion Meets Music Brand has been not only challenging but has shown me that you really can achieve anything you want if you put your mind to it.

During my time in London, I've ran a nightclub from its launch, I held my first UK Fashion Meets Music event, I've produced on the Afro Hair & Beauty Show, something I would visit every Bank Holiday whilst I was younger; and I've been blessed to set up and open 5 Pop Up Shops showcasing emerging Designers, Artists and Talent. One of them in Westfield Stratford City, Europes largest Urban Mall. Our initial 6 week contract ended up being extended for 5 months and what a roller coaster ride that was. We will be launching a permanent boutique in Camden Lock showcasing "Real Fashion"on the 2nd May 2014.

Fashion Meets Music was also one of brands chosen to "Pop Up" in Boulevard Berlin for a month. Those who know me know that I have no issues with getting on a flight and moving to another country for whatever reason and this I did with gusto for Germany :-)  For this Pop Up I showcased an Eco Lab Concept. All items being sold are sustainable fashion, ethical, upcycled, deconstructed and most made instore by the creatives.  This mixed with our regular workshops, flashmob fashion shows and in-house DJ which is proving a major hit. We "Pop Down" on 28th April 2014.

Random - Fraggle Rock Intro

Yes it's one of those days, Rick Astley's just put me in a weird flashback mood..

Remember Fraggle Rock? SO DO I... Check out the video below.

Enjoy.

The BEST News Ever - VIDEO Post

Ok, so you know I'm a sucker for all the old UK Pop hits, and Rick Astley has always been a fav of mine, and my mum's too ("Such a clean cut young man")

Anyhoo, Rick has been nominated for the BEST ACT EVER @ The MTV Europe Music Awards.. Rick is going up against Britney, Christina Aguilera, Green Day, Tokio Hotel and U2, the winner will be announced November 6 (8 days before my birthday, just thought I'd throw that out there).

How did Rick get resurrected? I use the word resurrected because he hasn't been around for over 20 years.

It's all thanks to an Internet movement known as "Rickrolling" and earlier this year saw Internet users unwittingly following hyperlinks to the video for Never Gonna Give You Up, LMAO.

Producer Richard Gregory said Astley’s awards nod showed “MTV has been well and truly ‘Rickrolled’”.

“This surprise nomination truly demonstrates that the MTV Europe Music Awards is the most democratically selected awards show there is,” he added.

“Rick’s fans have obviously decided that he deserves recognition as a pop icon and no doubt they are determined to make sure he wins on the night.”

So as a special treat, check out the MEGAMIX below, ooooh yeeeeaaaahhhh..

24 Movie is YEARS away....

Now you all know I'm a 24 fanatic and I've been waiting for the big screen version FOREVER!!!!

Kiefer Sutherland has stated that we'll probably be waiting several MORE years for that to happen. According to him the movie version won't get the green light until the TV show has been wrapped up.

"It is hard enough to write the show. So we all agreed that for the writers and their sanity, we wouldn't approach doing a film without them, so we would wait until the show is finished. And then we would do a film. I think it's a couple of years off."

Sutherland will next appear in a two-hour stand-alone prequel of 24 called Exile, which will air next month, November.. Lordy, it's October already?? The seventh series of 25 hits screen next January..

But there may be a glimpse of hope, Kiefer says that the project made the shows writers keen to explore the possibility of a film. "It was really exciting doing the prequel. I think (the writers) got a taste of how nice it would be to write a two hour piece that actually had an ending instead of having to write a 24 hour piece that doesn't have an ending. They might have seen the light. So you never know, maybe a film will be sooner."

Coolio bringing out own cookbook.

Coolio is planning his own cookbook, he insists he's a skillful "chef" and he's been broadcasting his culinary abilities on YouTube.

"I'm a gourmet chef, I have my own YouTube channel for cooking. I do a lot of healthy fusion food - I do Black Italian - Blitalian, Black Asian - Blasian, Black English - Blenglish and I'm about to try Black Scottish - Blottish. I like traditional food and putting my own twist on it."

He's even stated that he could rival Gordan Ramsay in the kichen, I wouldn't mind be the taster on that challenge.

He adds, "I ate in one of his restaurants and I was not impressed. I would take all his dishes and make them better."

Fighting words, can't wait for the cookbook, check out his cooking channel HERE

Ne-Yo planning life story movie.

My fav artist Ne-Yo is planning a movie based on his life story.

Ne-Yo told Rap-up.com, "We are putting together the (film) right now as we speak, as a matter of fact. The name of the movie is Venice Beach and basically it's going to be my 8 Mile, loosely based on (my) life, but not really."

Ne-Yo previously tested his acting skills with an appearance in 2007's Stomp the Yard, which I must have watched a zillion times and still love it.

Big Boi is the new spokesmodel for Coca-Cola's Full Throttle Fury

Big Boi is to front the new Coca-Cola ad campaign in an effort for the brand to reach into the African-American demographic.

The announcement was made yesterday for Cola's Full Throttle Fury Energy Drink.

According to the Throttles senior brand manager Rafael Acevedo, it was Big Boi's "drive to excel" which made him perfect for the brand relaunch of Coca-Cola's Full Throttle Fury promotion.

Acevedo says, "He truly embodies the Full Throttle mindset of 'Go Full Throttle or Go Home'. Full Throttle Fury will play a vital role in Big Boi's upcoming album release activities and concert tour - including product integration, customzsed point of sale displays, and sponsorship opportunities."

In a statement, Big Boi adds, "My new album Sir Luscious Left Foot embodies the energy of Full Throttle Fury, where I feel like the body of work I've created on this CD will hopefully motivate my fans even more with its high energy and conscious lyrics as I've always created in my music."

In related news - Big Boi's LP Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty will be released on October 28th.

Miami / Detroit - Free Jay-Z concert for Obama

Jay-Z is lending his support to Obama by holding 2 free concerts in his honor, hoping it'll encourage young people to vote Democrat @ the upcoming November elections.

The free shows will take place in Detroit, Michigan on Sat October 4th and in Miami, Florida on Sun October 5th.

Obama's local campaign offices will be distributing the tickets.

Obama had recently praised the modern generation of hip-hop stars - insisting stars such as Jay-Z and Kanye West are real businessmen, not just musicians.

He told MTV.com, "In the past, musicians often times were commodities. They were just shuffled around…they did well, but they didn't have the vision to say, 'I'm going to build a business. I'm going to build my own studio. I'm going to create my own production operations.' I think they're a lot more sophisticated than in the past, and that is a wonderful thing."

Diddy and MTV looking for a World Class Superstar!

Sean Combs has teamed up with MTV to try and find a new world class superstar.

The reality show called STARMAKER will have contestants competing in weekly competitions to prove their talents, and as in all "great" reality shows - live together.

And of course, you can't have a "World Class" reality show without a world class producer, yep - another Mark Burnett production.

For those that don't know Mark Burnett IS reality TV, he was the one who graced us with reality mania with a "small shows" like The Apprentice and Survivor, lol.

The show is scheduled to air in Jan of 09.

The singer “got suddenly ill during the sound check” before her concert in Montreal and had to be rushed to the hospital, on Monday according to a statement released by W&W Public Relations.

Her illness was not disclosed to the public. Last week, Janet cancelled a show in Detroit due to production constraints. It was not reported when the show in Montreal or Detroit will be rescheduled.
